Disabling Domesticity

Abstract

In this introduction, Rembis provides a brief history of disability and domesticity in the United States and Canada, as well as necessary demographics. He makes the case for the need for a more sustained and nuanced analysis of disability and domesticity, while situating its study in the broader literature. The Introduction concludes with a brief overview of the 13 chapters contained within Disabling Domesticity.
