Abstract
The purpose of this study is to test and compare the impact strength of a vinyl ester composite material reinforced with pineapple fibers, with and without novel rice husk filler particles. The research is divided into two groups: the control group, which has 20 samples of pineapple fibre matting mixed with vinyl ester, and the experimental group, which contains 20 samples of Novel Rice Husk particles, pineapple fibre, and vinyl ester. A total of 40 samples were analyzed. The study had 80% statistical power, as measured by G Power. The composite made of vinyl ester reinforced with 10% Novel Rice Husk filler has an impact strength of 1.217 KJ/m², while the composite made of vinyl ester reinforced without filler has an impact strength of 0.817 KJ/m². The two groups show a statistically significant difference (p = 0.001; p < 0.05). The addition of Novel Rice Husk particles to the pineapple fibre and vinyl ester composite increases impact strength over the composite without the filler. According to the research findings, fibre composites are environmentally beneficial. Statistical investigation revealed a significant difference between pineapple fibre composites (p = 0.001; p < 0.05).
