Abstract
Over the past two decades, the reality of academic world has been filled with rapidly developing technologies and has begun to change. Student-centred learning is growing in importance, since students have never before had such control over their educational experience. In this regard, educational institutions are expected to continue using new educational techniques and challenge the established norms. This is precisely what happened during the COVID-19 pandemic. This chapter will focus on two educational technologies that have evolved during COVID-19: blended learning and hybrid learning. The authors will analyse certain features of these educational technologies and search for an answer to the question of whether blended and hybrid learning are sufficient enough to be an adequate response to contemporary challenges in education.
