Abstract
The Internet of Things (IoT) evolves from mobile computing and ubiquitous computing. IoT is connecting all smart objects with sensors and networks which provide an integrated environment together. Smart objects and wearable devices share and communicate with the help of the internet. Given lots of data which are private are handled in the IoT environment, security and privacy plays a vital role. Though IoT technology is booming, the devices are highly prone to security vulnerabilities. Currently IoT technologies are used in many applications in business, healthcare and agriculture. The adaptation and success of the IoT framework depends on the security it provides. So the study of security aspects in IoT is a major issue which is addressed in this paper. This article discusses the security challenges that could be faced in the IoT environment and the prevention mechanisms used in IoT to keep the privacy and security to create a secure environment.
