Abstract

This work proposes a cavity-backed slot antenna-based substrate integrated waveguide (SIW). The suggested antenna has better gains than the standard SIW antenna and has new resonance spots. The higher-order resonant modes (TE102, TE301, TE302) are also excited by the ground coplanar waveguide construction, and the wideband bandwidth is attained by bringing the modes of higher order closer to each other. The proposed antenna receives an impedance bandwidth of 19.71 GHz to 26.37 GHz and a peak gain of 11.54 dB at 26.65 Hz, according to the results presented in this study.
