Abstract

Learning and teaching a language is perceived to be a difficult task. Advanced teaching aids should be available to make such intricacies easier, as it is the need of the hour. The rapid growth of the Internet has ushered in a technological revolution in all aspect of our lives, including teaching and learning. The use of information and communication technology (ICT) has a noteworthy impact on the quality and quantity of the teaching–learning process. ICT can improve teaching and learning by providing dynamic, interactive, and interesting content, as well as actual opportunity for personalized education.). Due to technological advancements, today's classroom atmosphere differs significantly from the previous-traditional arrangement. This paper, on the other hand, focuses on ICT tools that aid in the development of English language learning and teaching methods in order to demonstrate how technology affects second/foreign language education and how it can be effectively used in the English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classroom; these tools include both web-based and non-web-based tools, as well as how they can be used in the classroom.
