Abstract

This chapter is a descriptive research study based on a reflective theoretical framework. Two researchers collected reflective data from two different divisions; Engineering and General Studies during an eight-week transition period that saw the institution move from a blended learning environment to fully online learning due to the global lockdown during the COVID-19 pandemic starting in March 2020. As a result of this move from blended to fully online teaching and learning, the researchers propose six recommendations for effective online teaching in higher education.
