Abstract
This paper proposes economical method to reduce the cost of an area by using green energy technology, i.e., renewable energy. Here, this research work is more concerned with the optimization and simulation of a smart grid by the implementation of grid connected photovoltaic (PV) arrays, biomass and wind system at a same platform. The system also includes AC/DC converters and battery energy storage devices with suitable values. The major goal of this article is to evaluate various configurations of renewable resources with the grid in order to save costs. This study comprises a HOMER software-based simulation that produces multi-objective outcomes, with the primary goal of cost minimization and carbon dioxide emission reduction in the context of carbon economy. Hybrid optimization model for electric Renewables (HOMER) software is used here to analyze and identify the available information and data on a hybrid system in order to tackle the economic and environmental challenges present in an electrical network.

Renewable Energy Sources (RES) are poised to be the solution that satisfies all parties. In fact, major countries are implementing new regulations that make the use of renewable sources mandatory. The implementation of such sophisticated systems drive to find out new control techniques that make the system “smart”, bringing the Smart Grid concept. This is followed by a summary of the approach used towards obtaining dynamic models to study and refine the different controllers implemented within this work
