Abstract

Porcelain is a great invention in China. Chinese researchers of ceramics and archaeologists have systematically examined and studied the ancient ceramics so far excavated for many years. It is confirmed that as early as the late Eastern Han Dynasty (before 220 A.D.), there was already mature porcelain in the region of the now Zhejiang Province, marking the successful invention of Chinese porcelain. The invention of porcelain not only means that wares with good quality could be produced and a new material with great potential was developed, but more importantly, the innovation of such technology in practice had far-reaching effects.
