Abstract

Cloud-based progressive content streaming has enabled users to try different games without actually installing entire game on their devices. It is challenging for developers to develop and deploy progressive streaming games. Progressive game content streamers should continuously deliver stream of high-quality assets to the client device in minimal time. CloudStore is a framework for offering games as a service (GaaS). The user can import game and all related assets from CloudStore without actually downloading the entire game. Various APIs provided by the CloudStore make the game more viable to effective resource updation. CloudStore provides high-quality gaming experience with low consumption of memory. The paper explains the CloudStore architecture and results on the impact of user bandwidth and compression methods on QoE.
