Abstract

Edge detection is a technique used in image processing for locating boundaries of objects within images. This paper proposes a novel approach to edge detection based on Richardson’s extrapolation technique. The measure of edge strength is computed using this technique. Several experiments are being carried out to evaluate and compare the proposed technique with preexisting techniques, and the results are encouraging.
