Abstract
In October 2010, the Royal Swedish Academy of Science announced the laureates of the Nobel Prize in physics. Andre Geim and Konstantin Novoselov jointly received this award for groundbreaking experiments regarding the two-dimensional material called graphene, which, according to science experts, will have a wide range of practical applications in the future.
