Abstract
Games and dances, various forms of gymnastics, physical activities and performances (i.e., sport in a broad sense) have always existed and continue to exist in all societies. However, the numerous and various body and movement concepts have culturespecific patterns as they “embody” a society’s norms and values and reflect the dispositions and expectations of particular social groups.
