Samenvatting
In dit hoofdstuk wordt besproken welke nagelafwijkingen kunnen ontstaan door trauma. Onder trauma (meervoud: trauma’s, traumata) verstaat men een verwonding of beschadiging. De term trauma wordt echter ook gebruikt om de oorzakelijke factor of gebeurtenis aan te geven die leidt tot de beschadiging, bijvoorbeeld het stoten van de grote teen of druk op de nagelrand door te krappe schoenen.
