Abstract
Sustainability is now an important agenda item for tourism (Hall and Lew, 1998). That said, issues of sustainability are complicated by the threat of climate change, presenting the tourism industry with considerable negative impacts. Depletion of resources and the modification of tourist destinations through climate shift, will exacerbate the already strained systems of mass tourism destinations (UNWTO, 2008; Jenkins 2011).
