Zusammenfassung
Die internationale Unternehmenskommunikation befindet sich im Umbruch. Konnten die frühen Phasen der Globalisierung im späten 20. und frühen 21. Jahrhundert noch mit klassischen Strukturen, Strategien und Instrumenten begleitet werden, so steht das bisherige Paradigma unter den Bedingungen einer sich vor allem durch die zweite Welle der Digitalisierung herausbildenden ökonomischen Postmoderne in Frage. Wenn die Grenze zwischen Unternehmen und Öffentlichkeit hyper-transparent wird, die Anforderungen an nachhaltige unternehmerische Leistungsbeiträge steigen und die klassische Dichotomie von Zentrale und Peripherie in aufkommenden Netzwerkstrukturen ihre Sinnhaftigkeit verliert, werden auch überkommene Prinzipien der internationalen Kommunikationsarbeit wie Think global, act local und One-voice-policy auf den Prüfstand gestellt. Dieser Beitrag skizziert die Übergangssituation der internationalen Unternehmenskommunikation und zeigt ihre Entwicklungsperspektiven auf.
