Zusammenfassung
Krisenkommunikation ist in den letzten 20 Jahren zu einem der wichtigsten Anwendungsfelder der internen und externen Unternehmenskommunikation geworden. In Krisensituationen kommt es zur Gefährdung zentraler strategischer Ressourcen und Ziele von Organisationen und ihren Anspruchsgruppen. Geeignete strukturelle Rahmenbedingungen und Strategien, um im Krisenkontext Kommunikation zu planen, zu steuern und zu kontrollieren, können daher überlebensnotwendig sein. Nach einem kurzen Überblick und der Definition wichtiger Begriffe werden zentrale Methoden, Erfolgsfaktoren und empirische Befunde zur Planung und Umsetzung von Krisenkommunikation vorgestellt. Dabei werden die Phasen der Krisenprävention, Krisenvorbereitung, des akuten Krisenmanagements sowie der Krisennachsorge berücksichtigt. Abschließend werden aktuelle Defizite und künftige Herausforderungen in Forschung und Praxis der Krisenkommunikation diskutiert.
