Der Preis setzt sich immer aus mehreren Komponenten zusammen, zum Beispiel aus den Kosten der Bereiche Produktherstellung, Entwicklung, Service, Logistik und Beratung. Im Key Account Management haben Sie es in der Regel mit strategisch einkaufenden Kunden zu tun. Um die eigene Wettbewerbsstärke zu erhalten, ist eine dauerhafte Kostenführerschaft anzustreben. Kostenführerschaft bedeutet aber nicht, alle Kosten zu minimieren, sondern nur die Kosten zuzulassen für Leistungen, die Ihre Key Accounts als wichtig für ihr eigenes Geschäft ansehen. Preisgestaltungen sind immer abhängig von Ihrer Kostensituation, wenn Sie einen bestimmten prozentualen Ertrag vom Umsatz nicht unterschreiten möchten.
