Zusammenfassung
Die Erstellung abgeleiteter Datenwerke, z. B. für die Erstellung von Inhalten, die Bereitstellung von Diensten oder die Automatisierung von Prozessen, ist häufig mit Rechtsunsicherheit über die Nutzungsrechte und hohen Kosten für die Klärung von Lizenzfragen verbunden. DALICC steht für Data License Clearance Center. Es unterstützt Rechts Expertinnen, InnovationsmanagerInnen und AnwendungsentwicklerInnen bei der rechtssicheren Wiederverwendung von externen Datenquellen und Software. … DALICC ist ein Semantic Web-fähiges Software-Framework, das die Zuordnung von Lizenzen in einem maschinenlesbaren Format zu einem bestimmten Asset ermöglicht und die Klärung von Rechten unterstützt, indem es dem Benutzer Informationen über Äquivalenz, Ähnlichkeit und Kompatibilität zwischen Lizenzen liefert, wenn diese in einem abgeleiteten Werk kombiniert verwendet werden. Im Wesentlichen hilft DALICC dabei zu bestimmen, welche Informationen mit wem, in welchem Umfang und unter welchen Bedingungen geteilt werden können, wodurch die Kosten der Rechteklärung gesenkt und die Datenwirtschaft angekurbelt werden.
