Zusammenfassung
Das Buch behandelt aus deutscher Perspektive, wie Ökosystemleistungen (ÖSL) gesichert, weiterentwickelt und vor Beeinträchtigungen geschützt werden können. Kapitel 1 führt in die Thematik ein: Warum wurde das ÖSL-Konzept entwickelt? Was waren wichtige Meilensteine und Initiativen weltweit? Was sind die Nutzungsansprüche der Menschen bezüglich der Leistungen, die die Natur erbringen kann, und wie können diese Ansprüche offengelegt und in rationales Handeln integriert werden? Wird es mit dem ÖSL-Konzept besser gelingen, die Bedeutung der Natur für den Menschen zu kommunizieren und in der Abwägung mit anderen Zielen entsprechend besser zu berücksichtigen?
