Zusammenfassung
Motorische Unruhe und ein starker Bewegungsdrang („Hyperaktivität“) sind häufige Symptome einer ADHS. Eine entscheidende Rolle bei ihrer Entstehung spielt eine Fehlregulation auf der Ebene des Arousals, auch in Zusammenhang mit Stress und mangelnden Stressregulationsfähigkeiten. Defizite in grundlegenden motorischen Fähigkeiten wie Gleichgewicht, Propriozeption, Koordination und Feinmotorik als Merkmal einer ADHS rücken zunehmend in den Fokus von Forschung und Therapie. Letztere können auch bei einer ADHS auftreten, bei der Aufmerksamkeitsprobleme im Vordergrund stehen. Sowohl Hyperaktivitätssymptome als auch motorische Entwicklungsdefizite können bis ins Erwachsenenalter fortbestehen.
