Zusammenfassung

Der Einleitungsteil der Tabakleitlinie führt in den Hintergrund der Tabakproblematik ein und liefert grundlegende Definitionen. Von der Epidemiologie ausgehend wird der Forschungsstand zur Ätiologie der Tabakabhängigkeit und zu den gesundheitlichen Folgen skizziert. Des Weiteren werden die Kosten des Rauchens für die Gesellschaft den Behandlungskosten gegenüber gestellt.
