Zusammenfassung
Kritisch kranke Patienten auf der Intensivstation können körperliche Einschränkungen auf struktureller und funktioneller Ebene aufweisen, welche sie in ihrer Aktivität und Partizipation teils stark beeinträchtigen. Die Physiotherapie auf der Intensivstation ist demnach ein wichtiger Bestandteil des interprofessionellen Managements und kann den Rehabilitationsprozess maßgeblich positiv beeinflussen. Im Zentrum stehen neben einer frühen Mobilisierung und Bewegungstherapie auch atemphysiotherapeutische Maßnahmen. In diesem Kapitel wird auf Techniken zur Belüftungsverbesserung, zum erfolgreichen Sekretmanagement und im Speziellen auf das inspiratorische Muskeltraining zur Behandlung einer Zwerchfellschwäche im Zusammenhang mit der maschinellen Beatmung eingegangen. Grundlegende Kenntnisse zur maschinellen Beatmung und deren Folgen sowie dem Einfluss von Lagerungen auf die Belüftung der Lungenareale werden vermittelt. Außerdem geben wir Tipps zur Frühmobilisation und zum erfolgreichen Sekretmanagement und gehen auf nützliche Befund- und Verlaufsparameter ein.
