Zusammenfassung

Patientenschulungen, auch psychoedukative Interventionen genannt, sind ein zentraler Baustein der medizinischen Rehabilitation. Sie sollen die Gesundheitskompetenz von chronisch kranken Menschen fördern und diese dadurch in die Lage versetzen, selbstbestimmt mit den Folgen ihrer Erkrankung umzugehen. Im folgenden Kapitel werden Sie erfahren, welche Ziele Patientenschulungen verfolgen, wie diese inhaltlich und didaktisch gestaltet sind und welche Effekte sie erreichen. Wir werden den theoretischen Hintergrund von Schulungen beleuchten, aber auch einen Blick auf die Schulungspraxis werfen. Dabei werden Qualitätskriterien für Schulungen und Strategien vorgestellt, mit deren Hilfe manualisierte, evaluierte Schulungsprogramme in die rehabilitative Routineversorgung implementiert werden können, um die Schulungspraxis in der medizinischen Rehabilitation zu optimieren.
