Zusammenfassung
Der Einsatz von Simulationswerkzeugen ist ein nicht mehr wegzudenkendes Hilfsmittel für die Neu- und Weiterentwicklung fluid-mechatronischer Komponenten und Systeme. Von der Vorhersage der Kavitationserosion in Ventilen und Pumpen bis hin zur Sicherheitsbewertung von Steuerungsalgorithmen mobiler Arbeitsmaschinen liefern Modelle Erkenntnisse über das Systemverhalten, die i. d. R. messtechnisch nicht oder nur mit großem experimentellen Aufwand zugänglich sind. Dieses Kapitel stellt eine praxisorientierte Einführung in das virtuelle Engineering fluid-mechatronischer Komponenten und Systeme dar und erläutert anhand branchentypischer Beispiele die Einsatzmöglichkeiten der Systemsimulation, der numerischen Strömungssimulation und der numerischen Magnetfeldberechnung.
