Zusammenfassung

Der Zellzyklus beschreibt die Entstehung zweier Tochterzellen aus einer Ursprungszelle. Die dabei ablaufenden Vorgänge werden durch ein komplexes, molekulares Netzwerk reguliert. Nach einer entsprechenden Vergrößerung der Zellmasse muss sichergestellt werden, dass eine Zelle ihr komplettes Genom fehlerfrei dupliziert und während der Zellteilung zu gleichen Teilen an die Tochterzellen weitergibt.
