Zusammenfassung
Urbanisierung und das starke Wachstum des Onlinehandels mit der Folge eines steigenden Güterverkehrsaufkommens stellen die Logistik in urbanen Räumen vor große Herausforderungen. Negative Effekte des Verkehrs wie überlastete Infrastruktur, hohe CO2- sowie Feinstaubemissionen und schlechte Luftqualität sind vor allem in Agglomerationen stark ausgeprägt. Die urbane Logistik hat in diesem Kontext die Aufgabe, den Güterverkehr in urbanen Räumen effizienter und nachhaltiger zu gestalten, wobei zugleich immer höhere Anforderungen an Schnelligkeit und Flexibilität in der Zustellung erfüllt werden müssen. Eine Grundlage für die Gestaltung urbaner Logistik ist die Konsolidierung von Güterströmen. Durch den aktuell steigenden Handlungsdruck stehen Konzepte zur Konsolidierung von Güterströmen in urbanen Räumen, in weiterentwickelter Form und unter Einsatz neuer Technologien, im Fokus. Nachfolgend werden Ziele und Spannungsfelder sowie Gestaltungsmöglichkeiten der urbanen Logistik herausgearbeitet, ausgewählte Konzepte zur Konsolidierung von Güterströmen diskutiert und Zukunftsperspektiven für die urbane Logistik aufgezeigt.
