Zusammenfassung

Körperliche Aktivität spielt eine entscheidende Rolle in der Entstehung, vor allem in der Therapie von Übergewicht im Kindes- und Jugendalter. Neben dem reinen Kalorienverbrauch geht es v. a. um die Effekte auf die Körperkomposition und den damit verbundenen gesundheitlichen Nutzen. In der Regel wird ein kombiniertes Sportprogramm aus Kraft- und Ausdauertraining empfohlen. Im Wesentlichen geht es aber darum, Betroffene (/wieder) an einen aktiven Lebensstil heranzuführen.
