Zusammenfassung

Die Vorteile der High-density-Elektroenzephalographie(hd-EEG)-Systeme liegen in einer besseren räumlichen Abtastung und einer Verbesserung des Signal-Rausch-Verhältnisses, einer größeren Ausdehnung der abgedeckten Kortexregionen und einer präziseren Lokalisation der elektrischen Generatoren. Im klinischen Kontext der prächirurgischen Diagnostik zeigte sich eine gute Vergleichbarkeit mit verschiedenen als Goldstandard angesehenen Methoden zur Bestimmung der epileptogenen Zone, die hdEEG stellt somit – analog zur Magnetenzephalographie (MEG) – ein gut validiertes, nicht-invasives diagnostisches Instrumentarium dar.
