Zusammenfassung
Technologiegetriebenheit, Kundenzentrierung, Schnelligkeit und Flexibilität sind Kennzeichen der Digitalwirtschaft, die wesentliche Impulse für die Ausformung der neuen Arbeitswelt gesetzt hat. Mit dem Schlagwort „leadership 4.0“ oder „Führung in der Arbeitswelt 4.0“ wird die Herausforderung betont, unter Bedingungen der Volatilität, Unsicherheit, Komplexität und Ambiguität zu steuern und zu entscheiden. Dies zieht auch Anpassungen im Performance Management (PM) nach sich. Dazu zählt die intensivierte Kommunikation zwischen Mitarbeitenden und Führungskräften über Ziele und Ergebnisse. Sie geht mit einer Fokussierung auf schnelle Feedbacks und unterstützende Gesprächsformen einher. Weiter wird die Handhabung einzelner Prozessschritte und ihrer Dokumentation vereinfacht, oft durch die Nutzung neuerer Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologie. Zusammengefasst kann man sagen, dass die Veränderungen im PM-System der Logik „agiler – teambasierter – unbürokratischer“ folgen. In diesem Beitrag werden die bisherigeren Praktiken, die Kritik daran und schließlich die neueren Lösungen dargestellt. Einflüsse aus der Positiven Psychologie und Stärkenorientierung sowie die Wirkung von Feedback als Katalysator für Lernen und Leistungsoptimierung sind für die neue Leistungssteuerung relevant und werden ebenfalls skizziert.
