Zusammenfassung
Das vegetative Nervensystem kontrolliert über seine 3 Komponenten sympathisches, parasympathisches und enterisches Nervensystem fast alle Organsysteme des Organismus, mit der wesentlichen Ausnahme der Skelettmuskulatur. Daher wurden viele Wirkstoffe entwickelt, die über Angriffspunkte im Bereich des vegetativen Nervensystems bei unterschiedlichen Erkrankungen der inneren Organe eingesetzt werden, z. B. Herz-Kreislauf-Erkrankungen, Atemwegserkrankungen, Störungen im Bereich des Gastrointestinaltrakts oder der ableitenden Harnwege. Dieses Kapitel gibt einen Überblick über das vegetative Nervensystem sowie die Wirkmechanismen und Wirkungen der Arzneistoffe, die im Bereich desselben angreifen.
