Zusammenfassung
Lernen bezeichnet die Fähigkeit des Organismus sich durch Erfahrung an die Umwelt anzupassen. Neben nichtassoziativen Lernprozessen spielen das assoziative Lernen und kognitive Prozesse eine wichtige Rolle. Lernen interagiert mit Reifungsprozessen und führt zu lebenslanger Plastizität. Neurobiologische Grundlage des Lernens ist die synaptische Plastizität, die bei langanhaltenden Gedächtnisprozessen in strukturelle Veränderungen übergeht. Lernprozesse spielen bei psychischen Störungen eine wichtige Rolle, modulieren aber auch somatische Erkrankungen und sind besonders wichtig in der Neurorehabilitation.
