Zusammenfassung
Die meisten Patienten in der Urologie gehören zu 2 extremen Altersgruppen: zum einen Kleinkinder mit angeborenen Missbildungen und Störungen im Bereich des Urogenitaltrakts, zum anderen Männer höheren Lebensalters mit einem Prostataadenom (über 80 % bei 80-Jährigen) oder -karzinom. Hieraus ergibt sich auch ein Großteil der anästhesiologischen Besonderheiten, d. h. Narkosen beim Kleinkind oder beim geriatrischen Patienten mit multiplen Begleiterkrankungen.
