Zusammenfassung
Im Jahre 2015 wurden im Traumaregister der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Unfallchirurgie (TR-DGU) 17.630 schwer verletzte Patienten (ISS >16) registriert. Hiervon wiesen 22 % eine relevante abdominelle Verletzung auf. In Mitteleuropa ist das stumpfe Trauma der häufigste Verletzungsmechanismus des Abdomens (ca. 85 %).
