Zusammenfassung
Die Elektromyografie (EMG) ist eine biomechanische Methode, die sich in der Sportwissenschaft, der medizinischen Forschung, der klinischen Diagnostik, in der orthopädisch-biomechanischen Rehabilitation und der Ergonomie gleichermaßen etabliert hat. Sie stellt sozusagen eine Schnittstelle zwischen der äußeren und inneren Biomechanik dar. Mit Hilfe der Oberflächenelektromyografie (SEMG = Surface EMG) werden Messungen zwar an der Haut und somit außerhalb des Körpers vorgenommen, es werden dabei aber Vorgänge aufgezeichnet, die im Inneren des Körpers stattfinden. In diesem Kapitel werden die Aufgabenbereiche der Elektromyografie aufgezeigt, die neurophysiologischen Grundlagen erläutert und elektromyografische Mess- und Auswertemethoden vorgestellt.
