Zusammenfassung
Das operative Geschäft eines „Wissensarbeiters“ in deutschen Unternehmen ist geprägt durch den Umgang mit Informationen. Jeder Wissensarbeiter sucht einen Großteil seiner Arbeitszeit – mehr oder weniger erfolgreich – nach Informationen. Die Mehrheit der Informationen innerhalb eines Unternehmens liegt in unstrukturierter Form – also in Dateien jeglicher Art – vor. Umso erstaunlicher ist, dass sehr wenige Publikationen zur Strukturierung von Dateiablagen und Regeln zur Datei- und Ordnerbenennung vorliegen.
