Zusammenfassung
Es wird eine Auswahl verhaltensmedizinisch relevanter Störungen des Verdauungstraktes sowie mögliche verhaltensmedizinische Interventionen dargestellt. Heutzutage gelten für viele der „traditionell“ psychosomatischen Erkrankungen des Verdauungstraktes, wie z. B. die Ulkuserkrankungen, die chronischentzündlichen Erkrankungen oder in den letzten Jahren zunehmend sogar für die sog. „funktionellen Darmerkrankungen“ wie das Reizdarmsyndrom, überwiegend somatische Ätiologiemodelle. Gleichzeitig setzt sich die Erkenntnis durch, dass psychosoziale Faktoren entscheidend zu einem günstigen bzw. ungünstigen Verlauf einer gastrointestinalen Erkrankung beitragen können. Für jeden Patienten unter Berücksichtigung seiner Diagnose und seiner individuellen Ausgangssituation das bestmögliche Behandlungsmodell zu finden, das ist auch die Aufgabe einer Verhaltensmedizin der gastrointestinalen Störungen.
