Zusammenfassung

Das Bedürfnis nach Bindung ist ein evolutionsbiologisch entstandenes, angeborenes motivationales System, das in der Säuglings- und Kleinkindzeit Überleben und optimale Entwicklung ermöglichen soll. Das Bedürfnis eines Kindes nach Bindung (Attachment) wird in der Regel von seinen Eltern feinfühlig beantwortet (Bonding). Sind Eltern, aus welchen Gründen auch immer, dazu nicht ausreichend in der Lage, entwickeln sich unsichere Bindungsmuster. Bindungserfahrungen und Hirnentwicklung interagieren. Innerhalb des ersten Lebensjahres bildet das Kind ein inneres Arbeitsmodell, das implizit abgespeichert wird und für die Zukunft verhaltensbestimmend ist. In der Regel wird das erworbene Bindungsmuster von einer Generation zur nächsten weitergegeben. Unsichere Bindungsmuster können zu auffälligem Verhalten und psychischer Krankheit prädisponieren. Psychotherapie sollte immer Bindungsaspekten Rechnung tragen.
