Zusammenfassung
Auffällig ist das weiter steigende Verordnungsvolumen der neueren Antiepileptika, die inzwischen doppelt so häufig wie traditionelle Antiepileptika (z. B. Valproinsäure, Carbamazepin, Phenytoin) verordnet werden. Die Verordnungen von Valproinsäure sind seit mehreren Jahren konstant, dagegen hat das früher führende Carbamazepin seit 2003 um fast 50% abgenommen. Häufig verordnete Vertreter der neueren Antiepileptika sind das mit Abstand führende Pregabalin, gefolgt von Levetiracetam, Lamotrigin und Gabapentin.
