Zusammenfassung
Benzodiazepine werden ihrer anxiolytischen und sedierenden Wirkung wegen häufig zur Prämedikation vor einer Narkose eingesetzt, eignen sich aber auch als Hypnotika für diagnostische Eingriffe und als hypnotische Komponente im Rahmen einer balancierten Anästhesie. Antikonvulsive Wirkungen der Benzodiazepine werden für die Anfallprophylaxe, muskelrelaxierende Eigenschaften zur Therapie von muskulären Verspannungen genutzt.
