Zusammenfassung
Der Zeitpunkt zur Einführung neuer, intelligenter Methoden im Marketing ist günstig wie nie. Künstliche Intelligenz scheint hier zu einem Zauberwort zu mutieren, das viel verspricht – aber kann sie das auch halten? Eines ist klar: Big Data ist zentrale Voraussetzung und Anforderung zugleich. Im Artikel werden KI-Definitionen erläutert, deren Leistungsfähigkeit verglichen und Methoden gegenübergestellt. Anschließend wird ein strategischer Rahmen für den Einsatz von KI im Marketing und hier speziell im Tourismus-Marketing beschrieben, das Marktpotenzial aufgezeigt und anhand ausgewählter Beispiele diskutiert. Die vorgestellten Beispiele zeigen, dass KI ein großes Potenzial speziell im Tourismus-Bereich bietet. Es wird aber auch deutlich, dass hier nur die ersten Schritte getan sind: Es bedarf weiterer Forschung, um die KI strategisch weiterzuentwickeln.
