Zusammenfassung
Ökologische, soziale und ökonomische Nachhaltigkeit wird in der Unternehmenspraxis wie auch wissenschaftlich intensiv diskutiert. Es existiert nicht nur eine Vielzahl konzeptioneller Überlegungen, sondern auch politisch-regulativer Initiativen, um Nachhaltigkeit stärker zu verankern. Kaum diskutiert wird bislang, wie sich solche Initiativen erfolgreich implementieren lassen. Der beschaffungsseitigen Gestaltung der Zulieferkette kommt dabei besondere Bedeutung zu, ist sie doch aus unternehmerischer Perspektive in der Regel für einen weitaus größeren – und gerade vor dem Hintergrund globaler Zulieferketten auch „nachhaltigkeitssensibleren“ – Teil der Gesamtwertschöpfung verantwortlich. Vorliegender Beitrag konzentriert sich daher auf die Implementierung von Nachhaltigkeitskriterien in Supply Chains und ihre Auswirkungen. Es zeigt sich, dass das Beschaffungsverfahren („Practice“) stärker auf die Performance wirkt als inhaltliche Nachhaltigkeitskriterien. Soll also der Beschaffungserfolg im Sinne eines umfangreicheren (Lieferanten-) Wettbewerbs erreicht werden, sind normative Vorgaben durch prozedurale Implementierungspraktiken zu ergänzen.
