Zusammenfassung
Werte sind für die Kommunikation im Gesundheitswesen von besonderem Gewicht. Daher ist das Handeln natürlicher Personen in den komplexen Institutionen des Gesundheitssystems nicht nur werteorientiert, sondern es ist auch notwendig, über individuelle, soziale und institutionelle Werte zu kommunizieren. Man kann dafür verschiedene Beispiele aus dem Gesundheitswesen anführen. Wertekonflikte im Gesundheitswesen werden allerdings in zwei Hinsichten einseitig gedeutet: Zum einen werden sie als Interessenkonflikte und zum anderen als Konflikte zwischen Personen gedeutet. Beides erschwert Kommunikation im Gesundheitssystem. Das Konzept des Interesses ist ein juridisches oder ökonomisches Konzept. Unsere Kommunikation über vielschichtige und komplexe Wertehorizonte im Gesundheitswesen sollte daher nicht ausschließlich an Toleranz und Konsens orientiert sein. Es geht wertmäßig um eine akzeptierenswerte Kommunikation und Interaktion natürlicher und nicht-natürlicher Personen in einem rechtlich definierten sozialen Rahmen (Akzeptabilität). Wertekonflikte in diesem Rahmen sollten nicht notwendigerweise als kritikwürdige Mängel des Systems oder als Zwietracht zwischen Personen erachtet werden, denn moralischer Pluralismus ist ein unverzichtbarer Wert in unserer Kultur. Somit sind für die Kommunikation die beiden Werte Respekt für Disharmonie und Akzeptabilität ohne Konsens zentral.
