Zusammenfassung
Digitalisierung ist mittlerweile weder aus der Wirtschaft, den Medien, noch aus dem sozialen Umfeld wegzudenken – Konsumenten wollen es, Unternehmen und Manager müssen es liefern, jedoch haben sie immer häufiger Angst davor.
In den 1990er-Jahren gab es bereits einen Internet- und E-Commerce-Hype, doch ist die vorherrschende Situation anders. Technologien haben sich seitdem enorm weiterentwickelt und die Globalisierung von Unternehmen, Märkten und Konsumenten ist nahezu abgeschlossen – nahezu. Denn es gibt weiterhin Potenziale durch die Digitalisierung, welche noch in die letzten, noch nicht mit Internet versorgten Winkel dieses Planeten, getragen werden sollen. Diese Potenziale heizen u. a. den Gründermarkt an und versetzen etablierte Großkonzerne in Existenzängste. Begriffe wie Unicorns, Black Swans, Copycats, Disruptors, Intermediary Platform Businesses oder Exponential Organizations dominieren immer häufiger die heutigen Tagesordnungspunkte der Konzernetagen.
Der Bedarf nach Aufklärung und Handlungsempfehlungen steigt daher stetig.
Dieser Beitrag soll den Themenkomplex aus Digitalisierung, Geschäftsmodellen sowie Ambidextrie in einen Kontext bringen und dem Leser ein praxisorientiertes Werkzeug zur Festlegung von Geschäftsmodell-Strategien an die Hand geben, um Disruptionen von Geschäftsmodellen im Zuge der Digitalisierung adäquat mittels Verteidigungs- oder Konterstrategien zu adressieren.
