Zusammenfassung
Der Beitrag beschreibt zentrale Herausforderungen, mit denen urbane Räume konfrontiert sind, und zeigt konkrete Lösungsansätze zum Management urbaner Mobilitätssysteme. Angesichts der in Deutschland und weltweit zu beobachtenden Veränderungen im Mobilitätssektor ist die Auseinandersetzung mit Smart Cities ein gesellschaftspolitisches Thema. Es wird erörtert, inwiefern die Zukunftsfähigkeit von urbanen Räumen gesichert wird, indem zentrale Themenfelder wie ganzheitliche Mobilitätssysteme (e2GO) oder auch innovative Formen bedarfsgerechter Personenbeförderung adressiert werden (e.GO on Demand).
