Zusammenfassung
Vor dem Hintergrund aktueller Migrationsprozesse und -bewegungen in Deutschland und Europa sowie aktuellen Veränderungen der politischen Parteienlandschaft nach rechts, wird der Demokratiepädagogik in der Schule ein besonderer Stellenwert zugeschrieben. Dabei ist klar, dass Demokratie gelernt werden muss (Edelstein & Fauser, 2001; Reinhardt, 2015; Sander, 2013), da dessen Zustand immer einer gewissen Fragilität unterliegt und nicht – einmal erreicht – für immer stabilisiert und gesichert sei. Schule, in der sich auch die Diversität der gesellschaftlichen Zusammensetzung widerspiegelt, bietet die Möglichkeit Demokratie nicht nur als Systembegriff einer Herrschaftsform zu verstehen, sondern Kindern und Jugendlichen Demokratie auch als Lebensform (Himmelmann, 2016; Seifert & Nagy, 2014) näher zu bringen.
