Zusammenfassung
Kap. 2 beschäftigt sich mit der südafrikanischen Perspektive des Integrated Reporting. Sie reicht weit zurück und führt in die Geschichte eines Landes auf der Suche nach Demokratie. Hinsichtlich der Berichterstattung gilt Südafrika heute als Pionier. Die Berichterstattung südafrikanischer Unternehmen wird herangezogen, um darzulegen, dass Berichtsstandards für mehr Transparenz international grundlegend verändert werden sollten. Regelwerke wie der King Code geben Orientierung und Anlass, um die Corporate Governance weltweit auf den Prüfstand zu stellen. Denn, um sich erfolgreich der Zukunft zu stellen, müssen Unternehmen das Vertrauen der Anleger und Stakeholder wiedergewinnen.
