Zusammenfassung
Ausgehend vom Prozess der digitalen Transformation und der Vision des datengetriebenen Unternehmens, versucht der Beitrag, strategische Fragen zu identifizieren und Implikationen zu erarbeiten. Grundlage sind Erkenntnisse, die am Zentrum für Geschäftsmodelle in der digitalen Welt in Bamberg generiert wurden. Der Beitrag verdeutlicht, dass ein klares Zukunftsbild des Unternehmens in Verbindung mit einer Anwendungsroadmap Voraussetzung für den Erfolg ist. Herausforderungen liegen in der Positionierung des eigenen Unternehmens innerhalb digitaler Ökosysteme sowie in Aufbau, Betrieb und Governance digitaler Plattformen. Der Beitrag identifiziert eine Reihe noch nicht beantworteter wissenschaftlicher Fragen. Aus einer Geschäftsmodellsicht ist vor allem zu klären, unter welchen Voraussetzungen Anwender bereit sind, Eigentumsrechte an, von smarten Produkten generierten Daten an Lösungsanbieter und Plattformbetreiber zu übertragen und unter welchen Rahmenbedingungen dies nicht so ist.
