Zusammenfassung
Soziale Wahrnehmung ist der u. a. durch Hypothesen, Erwartungen, Werte, Normen, Interessen und Emotionen, aber auch durch direkte Einflussnahme anderer Personen gesteuerte Prozess der subjektiven Repräsentation äußerer Gegebenheiten. Menschen sind aufgrund ihrer biophysischen Natur nicht in der Lage, alle Umweltreize aufzunehmen. Wahrnehmung ist deshalb bereits auf einer ersten Stufe – bedingt durch die Art, Kapazität und Funktionstüchtigkeit der Sinnesorgane – selektiv.
