Eine Situation ist eine Konstellation von Faktoren, die von einem Akteur oder einem Betrachter (oder mehreren Akteuren bzw. Betrachtern) als ein Zusammenhang wahrgenommen wird. Die Wahrnehmung als Zusammenhang beruht direkt oder indirekt auf der aktuellen oder potenziellen Handlungsbedeutsamkeit der betreffenden Faktorenkonstellation: Die Faktoren werden als Zusammenhang wahrgenommen, weil sie in der entsprechenden Konstellation von denjenigen, die mit ihnen konfrontiert sind, ein bestimmtes Handeln erfordern oder ihnen bestimmte Handlungen ermöglichen.
